Goodwell Mateyo is the current President of the Chamber of Mines of Zambia, one of the largest and most influential private sector lobbies in the country. He is a lawyer by profession having obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Zambia and Master of Laws degree from the University of London. He has worked as a legal advisor in the mining industry for 7 years and has experience in regulatory engagements. He works in that role as General Counsel for Mopani Copper Mines Plc, a Glencore managed copper extraction and processing company. He is a past speaker at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business’s “Distinguished Speakers’ Series”.
